Gregory Bruce Dand

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gregory “Greg” Bruce Dand announces his passing on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 67 years.

Greg was known for his steady presence and sharp sense of humour. A natural storyteller with a well-timed joke, he had a way of putting people at ease and making them smile. He was friendly, kind, deeply loyal, and a fighter right to the end. He made his kids and his wife so proud. He was their hero. He was a farmer to the core. He believed deeply in the dignity of hard work and in doing something that mattered. He rarely complained and faced life’s challenges with quiet determination and strength. Above all, Greg was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather. He and Deb built a beautiful life together on the farm, raising their family with love, resilience, and laughter. His son Casey worked hard alongside him on the farm, and all of the kids grew up learning the rhythms of farm life, picking rocks, riding in the combine, and understanding the value of showing up.

Beloved husband of Debra Dand; loving father of Erin (David) Hoekstra; Cara (Jason) Knight and their son, Ethan; Jill Dand; and Casey (Tayrell) Dand and their children, Ryker, Ryliegh, Emma, and Andrew. Predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Doris Dand, and his father-in-law, Stan Sekulich. Greg is survived by his sisters, Colleen Dand and Shannon Dand; his brothers, Kirk Dand and Ryan (Kathy) Dand; his mother-in-law, Joan Sekulich; his brothers-in-law, Dwayne, Darin (Glenda), and Devin (Natalie) Sekulich; his sister-in-law, Dawn (Wade) Whitell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kindersley, SK. Rev. Fr. Francis Appiah-Kubi will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at the Coleville Cemetery, with a luncheon at the Coleville Hall. All are welcome.
